I have been photographing for over 3 years now and because I started shooting RAW very early I needed a program to edit them, I looked into a lot of raw converters and at the end decided to go with Lightroom because it seemed like a very versatile, affordable and user friendly program.

PnTNecrosis says:

It's so much easier to just shoot it properly the first time. Too many people rely on post to get any kind of decent images out of their cameras. It's quite sad. Photography used to be an art form.

TheLoneWolf says:

may i ask, why you put the highlights down exactly? you said, you wanted to get more details out of the shadows, so why put the highlights down?

Bek Tatlun says:

Are you hailey's boyfriend

that crane at the top is getting on my nerves 😂 it's so distracting get rid of it

ShibaPatrol says:

You can't fix a boring picture with sliders in Lightroom, you basically went ham on all the sliders to create some kind of "interest" that didn't exist. The result is really unnatural, lighting makes no sense and you went completely over board with the noise reduction not to mention the 'Clarity' slider aka 'fuckupmymidtones' for that generic flickr look.

Maybe concentrate on actually taking interesting pictures instead of wasting time tweaking boring pictures.

I must say, I'm very impressed. I was a bit worried that I would have to learn a new layout as well as manage a new workflow and that was definitely not the case. It is a perfect mix between Adobe Light room and a light version of Photoshop. With tools like the body shaper and background remover, it takes these tasks that used to be a bit of a process in Photoshop and makes them a simple two or three steps. https://plus.google.com/b/100728704920141855812/100728704920141855812/posts/EPEBMC8eX95

ISO 800 on most good cameras renders no noise. I've shot ISO 5000 with a 5D MKIII with little to no noise.
