Kumamoto Horse Chasing Festival
A New Post From Adam Higgins http://www.EclecticStock.com/portfolio/

Just returned from a trip to Kumamoto Japan and got to see the Great Festival of Fujisaki-hachimangu at Chūō-ku, Kumamoto.

This festival is held every September, and is characterized by a parade of Shinto priests, followed by groups of followers who chase their horses shouting, “Boshita, Boshita”, in earlier times; but now the parade followers, “Dookai Dookai”, or other phrases.

The festival attracts over 10,000 people and is a great spectacle as the participants make there way through the town with lots of noise and colour.
